Mohamed Salah Omri has just informed me that a programme we recorded at Campus FM, with the technical help of Samuel Attard, to remember (Awlad)Ouled Ahmed, will be aired on Radio Tunisie Culture on Tuesday 17th May at 4.00pm Tunisian time. The 53 minute programme features contributions by Mohamed Salah Omri from Oxford, Costanza Ferrini from Rome, Annalisa Comes from France, and myself from Malta. Awlad can be heard reading in Carthage and at Inizjamed’s Malta Mediterranean Literature Festival.
On Tuesday afternoon, Rai Radio Tre’s programme Fahrenheit will also feature Ouled Ahmed. Costanza Ferrini will be in the studio (and will read some lines from one of my poems), while Cristina Viti and myself will be connected via telephone. Commemorating a great poet.
