Summer School In Transcultural Counselling

Dr. Adrian Grima will be reading a paper on “The Journey Metaphor” during the Summer School In Transcultural Counselling on Friday 8th July 2011 in a panel on Transcultural issues at 10.30 chaired by Ms. Sue-Ann Beiruty. The other speaker will be Mr Gottfried Catania who will focus on “Transcultural Issue s in the Workplace.”
The Summer School In Transcultural Counselling will be celebrating the launching of the Dual Degree offered by the University of Malta and the University of Maryland College Park, and 10 years of service to Counselling by the Malta Association for the Counselling Profession.
Professor Courtland Lee, Director of Counsellor Education, University of Maryland, will deliver a keynote address on ‘Counselling: An International Perspective.’ There will also be addresses, among others, by Professor Steve Koziol, Associate Dean, College of Education, University of Maryland, on ‘The Globalization of Education and Human Development: A Focus on Higher Education Initiatives,’ and by Dr Dione Mifsud, Head of the Department of Psychology at the University of Malta, who will speak about “Ethical Issues: Counselling in a context of limited geographical space.”
