My collection “Masafat” published in Cairo

I’m very happy to announce that Sefsafa Publishing, a leading publisher in Cairo, has just published a collection of my poetry translated into Arabic by Walid Nabhan.

As far as I know, this is the first publication of Maltese literature translated into Arabic by a major publisher in the Arab world. B’riħitek Walid Nabhan!

Very special thanks, first and foremost, to Walid. He has been working on this project for years with the dedication and flair that are so characteristic of him. Thanks also to my publisher, Mohamed El-Baaly of Sefsafa Publishing, and to Adel Bishtawi, Murad Shubert, and Abdelrehim Youssef.

Let’s just say that I’m very, very excited about all of this.

This publication would not have been possible without the support of the Translation Grant, Cultural Export Fund, of Arts Council Malta. It is a fund that is finally allowing Maltese Literature (and other Maltese arts) to travel the world. Thanks to Romina Delia and all the team at Arts Council Malta.
